I want to add some remote battery posts. Where have others put them?

Could you use a winch plug and put it under the bed somewhere?

Thanks for your suggestion. I was going to get a pair of remote posts (I知 thinking for charging and jumps) and I was thinking of putting them somewhere under the bed, but I知 not sure where. Perhaps attached to the frame, or at the bottom of the bed side. But not where they値l cause a short if I go through a big puddle. I want them out of sight but not too difficult to access.
I知 not running fenders, so maybe in the wheel well area behind the rear wheel so I can easily access it but it値l be hidden by the wheel?

I'm at that same decision now; seriously considering a hatch (access panel) in th bed. Puts a lot concerns to rest and may be the simplest of all.

That would be good. I am also considering cutting a little hatch, about the size of a gas cap door, in the side of the bed. I'm just not good at fiberglass work to make it look good...might have to get my body/paint guy to do it.

Anyone weld a frame and mount the SS sheet directly to that? Then just need to add some hinges, maybe a couple lift gate shocks near the cab to raise and lower?
If you have, please attach pictures :-) as I hope to airbrush the SS sheet and then lift as needed.

I mounted a positive post along my firewall down low on a fabricated bracket. I wanted it in a spot to easy access. A little more insurance I wired in a battery tender and let it lay by the drivers seat for easy access to charge when not in use. I cut a good size hole in the stainless bed floor with a plasma cutter to access the battery when needed. I have the aluminum advantage bed kit that looks like wood but aluminum and all I have to do is remove two center sections of plank to access the battery. Rob

I put mine so that they stick out the back through the roll pan. They have red and the black rubber covers on them. Easy access and everyone asks what they are. Great conversation starter.

I put them in the cab on the passenger side behind the seat. I also added a battery cutoff switch there.
I will try to find a picture.

Thanks for all of the responses! Some great ideas https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/images/icons/icon14.png
I ended up putting in the back. I haven't played around with the roll pan yet, but I think this will work.
I made a fiberglass panel, which will be painted the same color as the body. I got the terminal box here (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDM-302-31BK)...https://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDM-302-31BK and some 1-gauge cables (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/AWW-500726)

I am using bench seat. I put it behind the passenger side along with cut-off switch. I put hinges on my seat so I can lift it forward to get access.

Mine is here, never had anyone mess with it in 22 years now.
