Long time lurker, first time (almost) poster. Currently living in Brevard County, FL, but moving to St. Johns, FL after I retire this summer. I'll be putting in my order for a 289 USRRC kit after the move frenzy settles out later this year. My current plan includes a crate 306 SBF with EFI, wide ratio TKX, 17" wheels, 3.55 IRS, and the various and sundry adders and swaps I've learned about on this site. Lots of great info on this forum and I've learned a lot already with tons more learning (and spending) to go. I have considerable car maintenance experience, but I'm not a particularly good mechanic and certainly not a fabricator. Most of my wrenching experience is on 5 water-pumper VWs, (2 GTIs, 2 GLIs, and a VR6 Corrado) before moving to Z cars 11 years ago. Time for the next automotive challenge. I'm trusting the experts on this site to get me though this project.
