I am building an unfinished MK1. Life has gotten in the way multiple times. I am committed to finishing it this year. Any left over or unused parts from your build could save me a bunch of issues, all help appreciated.
Decisions to make:
1. It has fox lower control arms and spindles currently, Change to sn95 spindles and better lower control arms?
2. I want to run 15" halibrand rims. but want wide tires 300ish mm, what tire, rotors will fit, cobra four piston calipers?
I will leave it with two questions for the moment. I have at least 100 more.

With the change to the FFR lower control arms I'd consider installing the coil overs front and rear and at least the 3 link rear end assembly.
Doing that will change the ride and the handling of the car significantly.
I'd check with Gordon Levy about the brakes for the rear as putting 300's in the rear can have some issues. 275 should fit ok though.

I wouldn't bother w/ SN95 spindles. They were slightly better than Fox spindles but they really work best w/ the SAI mod and attached to the frame on the vertical surface available on newer frame. So you would need to weld in a new frame mount. Whitby used to make them but I don't see them on their website any more. And they were in the $250 range. All in all, to make a significant improvement to the suspension geometry it would be best to go w/ FFR spindles w/ a new welded in mount point.

Mr. Button,
If you have half a million miles on your MK1, why would I change from current fox set up?
Mr. Craig,
I can change everything. But, part of the reason the car is not finished is....constantly thinking about changing everthing.
I have ordered a motor trans and rearend set up from a site sponsor to motivate me to get done. I can change rear to three link. I am not sure how different the set up be on the Mk1. What coil overs? The original FFR gold coil overs are currently installed.
If any experienced builders are in the Cincinnati area, feel free to contact me, maybe I can avoid the indecision and get some direction.
******* The Icy grip of indecision is creeping up on me again, don't let it get me *******

I looked up my numbers on my kit It is kit FFR2437K sold by Gordon Levy in the year 2000. So it is probably older that a few of the newer builders on the site.....

In that case build it w/ what it has for front suspension. And for rear suspension. Just get it on the road and think about upgrades later. For tires try these.

26x10 front
26x12 rear
Do you have any brakes currently? If you do, bolt them and go. If you don't, I have these calipers brand new still in their boxes;
Power Stop #PWR S4722. I got them from Rock Auto a couple years ago and never installed them. They are the common PBR calipers listed for a 99 Mustang V8. You can have them for the shipping cost. They are already painted red. PM me if interested.

My Mk1 is #2503, so its the same as yours. Here's what I did and what I would recommend on the front suspension.
If you want more caster for power steering the Mustang LCAs will encounter ball joint bind. You need current generation FFR LCA's where the ball joint is angled to accommodate the caster.
On the UCAs you have the one piece variety. I designed my own SAI solution with angle brackets moving the UCA 0.75" backwards. If I was to do it again I would buy current FFR UCAs with their conversion bracket although I'm not sure if the Proshocks will fit with them.
I'm using Fox spindles. The only drawback is with the dust cap not working with your wheel choice due to its size.
So far as brakes and 15" wheels I can't help as I'm using 17's, but I have the 88 GT calipers up front with Lincoln MkVII rotors (5 lug), and SN95 rotors on the rear with stock calipers. Fox booster with Centrix 1" master cylinder and Hawk HPS pads all round.

PG,
I could use some more info on the booster and master cylinder. I do not have a usable set up at this point. although I have the fox brackets and pedals. I can change them, but undecided on what to got to or stay with. Thank you for your advice

The booster is a stock 89-93 booster from a Mustang GT. You will need to modify the frame tube to clear the booster. Whitby sells a bolt in part for $45.
My master cylinder came from American Muscle some years ago. I believe their item # was 53218, $79. It came as a Centrix part, that much I can remember.
Access to the master cylinder is difficult as it moves forward under the upper frame tube. I made the aluminum panel removable with DZUS fasteners and added the "fluffy's bowl" mod to clear the end of the MC.
(Lots of threads on this forum this). I used a Mercury Villager reservoir and remote fittings into the MC to replace the original reservoir and make fluid maintenance simple.
