I would like to adjust the panel lights on my instruments. Without spending a fortune where can I buy a rheostat I can mount under the dash preferably? I have tried NAPA, Radio Shack, etc to no avail. I don't want an MG or Triumph dash knob unless necessary ($25+). Who can help?

Bill,

I went to ebay and did a search for dash dimmer. Lots of stuff came up under $15 shipped.

Radio Shack. They have a few differant types on their shelves.

Thanks to J.D. and Bob for the advice. Ebay was some help but no cigar and Radio Shack was no help at all. I don't think they understood what I needed. Bought one from them and burned it up in two seconds. Finally went to the Pick yr Part place and grabbed two Geo Metro dimmers. Went to pay and he said "have a nice day". These are small 3 wire rheostats and should work perfectly. Thanks again. BB

I used the donor Mustang dimmer. Works for my gauge lights, and also used to turn on my foot box courtesy lights. Virtually plug and play..:)
