Hi all,
Hope all is well.
I'm wondering what to do about the inside top edge of the doors:
139866
I know there is info on the forum, but I am too lazy to search.
I did read that some grind it down flush; but won't that open the seam?
I read that some fill over the seam with Rage Gold (using a split piece of hose to apply).
What is best?
Thanks,
Jeff

Smooth the tops out with your D/A or tackle the task by hand (60-80 Grit) and float it over with the Evercoat Rage Gold.
You can also use Evercoat Fibertech if you want a structural filler and then smooth it out with the Rage Gold filler as your top for the final coat.
Also, pay a good bit of attention to where the doors meet the cowl because if you clean those areas up, it makes the car look a lot more finished.

I’ve discussed and posted it repeatedly. Too bad you’re too lazy to search because I’m too lazy to write it up again... :p

Also, i have really enjoyed Steve's build videos. Very descriptive and informative. And you have good humor.
Redbone turned out great! Wish me luck.

Jeff,
The bodywork advice and tons of other suggestions that I got from Jeff Kleiner totally made the difference for me getting to the finish line.
He spoke and I listened so he had a heavy hand with my build even though he has never seen Redbone in person.
Any advice you get from Mr. Kleiner is 100% spot-on because it comes from years and years of experience.
I'm just sharing what he taught me, with the exception of my driver's door dissection.
Good Luck!
Steve
