As an aside, would OP share sources for components, maybe I’ll try my hand at fabrication. I found a source for the decals, but would need the other components.

Skip, I'll make a note. These were standard stamped steel valve covers, old style, not the new tall covers. I was going to use them with the 1/2" valve cover spacers, but I ended up going a different way. One of the covers had the filler neck that I welded an angled extension onto, and the other cover I had to drill a hole for a second filler tube, cut and weld the pieces for the tube, and I made a baffle for the tube I created to match the other cover. I'll have to look up the paint color that I used. Breathers were just stock, I think from Summit. I just looked for black breathers, and then placed the decals. I wish I could say that I had come up with this, but I owe that to Bill (2FST4U). He did a write up on it quite a few years ago, and I just copied his.

Skip, I found my notes from when I did those covers. The tubing that you'll need is 4130 tube with a wall thickness of .050. You need two pieces 3" long with a 15 degree angle on one end, and one straight piece 2-1/2" long. Need to drill a new breather hole. The gussets are fabricated from .050 thick sheet, and weld to the tubes and the covers. Cover the old PCV hole with left over sheet metal. The color is Rustoleum HiTemp flat gray in a rattle can #248904. Hope that helps. Still haven't gotten confirmation on the sale, so I'll keep you posted. I'm sure that with Christmas I may not hear back until the weekend or early next week.

Are those rectifier diodes designed to allow the current to flow in only one direction? If so, I could make use of a pair of them.
I wanted to hook up a reminder beeper to my t/signal switch, and am thinking they may be the answer to prevent back-feed.

Should I PM you my address, as to the postage required? Prefer not to post my address on a post.
Thanks.

Bill, I'm so totally devoid of knowledge when it comes to electronics I cannot answer that question! If you PM your address, I can get you a cost to get them to you. You're welcome to the entire bundle. There are four still in the original package, and I believe two that were fabbed up in the wiring. I really wouldn't know what to do with them if not directed by someone else!

Short answer is yes, the diodes are designed to allow current to flow in a single direction. The silver band indicates the blocking direction where power can pass through the diode across the black portion and through the band, but not the opposite. Think of the band as a dam.

This may help:

So I adjusted some parts costs, and added some notes. See if it changes your mind.

I'm intrested in the steering coupler. If it is 1 inch DD on one end and 11/16x 36 spline I will take it.Roger

gtaroger, Here's the view from the back side of the adapter.

The entire unit OD is around 1"+. On the other side, the opening measures 11/16, and I counted 36 splines. It was the standard manual steering adapter that came with the kit. Let me know if it will work.
