Mustang rear IRS hub/bearing assembly: Which brand to use?

I recently came across a pair of 2015 rear axle/hubs/brakes with reportedly only 16,000 km on them for a very reasonable price.

In the process of dismantling the spindles for cleaning and modification I noticed that the hub/bearing assemblies are quite rusty.

I've been doing some reading suggesting that these assemblies may not have the longest life span.

I'm going to replace these hub/bearing assemblies and start from new as they're not all that expensive...~ $75-$100 Canadian.

So when purchasing new ones is there one brand that seems to be of better quality? Brands I have seen so far: Timken, SKF, Moog, Ford, cheap Chinese knock-offs (which I am not considering)....

Ford, or Timken would be my choice

I only ever use Moog for steering and suspension (which I like), not saying they may not be good for hubs / bearing assembled too, I just don't have experience with them on that type of part......

Thanks Jim. I like you, would rather buy a hybrid bearing/suspension component made by a bearing company than a suspension company. Given that bearing performance is probably the more critical aspect of the part.

Yeah....steering/ suspension and brakes are areas not to skimp. Jim

Ended up getting these SKF branded versions from a Canadian vendor for about $120 Canadian each. Box says made in USA.:)

Has anybody ever bothered to press out the existing bushings in their knuckles and replace them with higher performance pieces?

Asking for a friend LOL.

Never tried it.... normally in cases like that with suspension / high performance parts I'll just but the whole part verses trying to rework it.
