The family and I went to Vegas this past week, our youngest turned 21 and we took the kids and friends with us to celebrate... my son reminded me that Shelby American was only 10 minutes away - so off we went!!

of course, the cars from Ferrari vs Ford were there :)

this is an original GT500 that Carroll himself drove to 170mph on those skinny bias tires!!
estimated to be a $2-3M car!

Some cool pics from the factory tour - a Shelby Super Snake built for the Blue Angels, this will be auctioned off... 800+HP car!

Shelby's Oldsmobile era... not the best car in the world, but worth a ton of $$$

Thats a cool museum and pretty cool to see the shop also. I love that Green Aston Marton DBR1 on didplay. Im glad they moved the museum near the strip/airport bdcause it used to be by the race track. Have fun out there.

Try calling the museum to find out that blue color. Or call Lance from Hillbank Motors in Irvine (Superformance). Im sure Lance will know the color.

Saw the Shelby American semi trucking west on I-20 outside of Abilene today.
Looks like a fun trip to the museum. I've passed by the building a few times while I'm Vegas. I'll have to stop by sometime.

Thanks for the info!! going to be spending four days at the Southpoint Casino just after Christmas. Not gambling, my son is bowling in a big tournament. No spectators and lots of time between bowling sessions. Already have an agreement from my son to go with! Get him hooked on cars yet.

I emailed and just called - they sent me to a sales guy voicemail LOL
I believe this is the car... or very close as the one on the floor has black sidepipes...
