One of the fun things about owning a GoPro is making mounts to get different views of things.

After my "build milestone" video, several people asked me how I got the different views, so I made a video of the mounts I made and use for filming my Mark 2.

Let me know what you think, and thanks for watching!

Very creative. I like it.

Sure is a lot better than hanging the camera on the roll bar and having the rearview mirror in the middle of the view.

I had to give you a LIKE on your vid, Mike. But not just for the creativity you've shown and explained on "how-to" get the really cool shot(s) perspective, but for you car, the seats and of course your laugh too! Now, get us some beautiful (background) landscape footage; Mountains, changing color of trees, beach scenes to compliment that gorgeous car of yours and you'll get the extra "Dumbledore Points" for the win! Not sure if there's a award trophy, but you're definitely in the lead. No really, thanks for sharing, very cool and I absolutely love the side pipe shot!

Ahhh... Minnesota! My birth state and a very lovely place to live, I may add. it's been quite a few years since I've been back to visit. Where's my fishing pole? ;) Anyway, yes, if you come to Colorado, look me up. We definitely have the mountains and some scenic views. But really, great ideas on the video angles and how to capture them. I'll have to build something like you did in the future in order to get shots of my own ride, that is, once I have it built. Anyway, we're looking forward to the next vid(s) you make.

I absolutely LOVE Colorado! I've been there a couple times for work conferences, and once in 2016 on a motorcycle trip (riding my 1982 Honda Goldwing!!)
video of THAT here: https://youtu.be/zay0Ic4hxKo

Colorado has some amazing motorcycle roads!! I will most likely be back there on my motorcycle in the next few years. I'll look you up for sure!!

Hey Mike, nice work! It helps having a nice road to drive too. I've messed around with the the GoPro Hero Session 5 and the mounts are one challenge, but wind noise is the biggest one for me. I've been looking at an external microphone to get just car sounds rather than wind. Thanks for the mounting tips, I'll be trying some out this next driving season.

BTW, back in 93' I did that same Goldwing ride through Colorado. From KC to Oshkosh across Minnesota, SD, WY to Yellowstone down past the Tetons to Colorado and home again - 3500 miles in all on a 1976, yellow and black Honda GW. What a trip and what a crick in my neck!

Here's a couple of the GoPro attempts I did this last year:

great videos GTBradley!! I liked them both and commented as well. They make me want to take my cobra out there.
Sounds like your bike trip was the opposite route than we took. What great memories.
