Hi All

I have had my gen 1 type 65 coupe for about 10 years. I bought it built but have subsequently rebuilt just about everything. My car spends a lot of time on the racetrack and a little bit of time on the street. Sadly I hit a wall during a racing event a few years back and did significant body damage. While the body was off being repaired and painted I used the opportunity to make the chassis way I always wanted it to be. It now has door bars, diagonal bracing, a new foot box structure with Tilton floor mounted pedals and most importantly a relocated steering column. This involved putting a tube through the middle of the dash bar but it puts the steering wheel in a much better spot. Oh yeah, and a new dash, all new wiring, lighting, engine and gearbox. The only thing I didn’t touch was the IRS, which is bomber. So, I hope to meet some other coupe owners and perhaps share what I’ve learned and pick up some new information.

Was your car red with white stripes? 347 engine? Sold mine about 10 years ago and not sure were it ended up.

Hi cob427sc,

No I bought mine from Richard Oben at North Racecars. It was dark blue with a 331. Now it's Guardsman blue with a 306!
