I can get a 2004 Forester, manual transmission for a really good price. Is there any special issues with using it as a donor? I cannot get the speadsheet to download that says what will work and what won't. If anyone has it please send me a PM. Thanks, TW:confused:

Tom, I used an 04 forester XT for my car.
The rear mounts for the lower control arms are different. Not a big deal, I probably have an extra set I can send you.
The Dash cluster has a slightly different shape and doesn't fit the ffr dashboard perfectly. I'm sure you could make it look good.
That's all I can think of.
With the price advantage of an FXT over a WRX it is a no-brainer.
Bob
Another thing nice about this engine is that it is the same as a 2004 STI 2.5L with side feed injector but with a smaller TD-04 turbo and smaller IC.

Looks like one for the "Why do 818 projects stall / what are the major road blocks?" thread.
