Radiator Mount Question - using Breeze mounts

I am mounting the FFR radiator using the Breeze top and bottom mount kits. The FFR radiator instructions say to mount the radiator 5/8" off-center toward the driver's side. The Breeze instructions say to center the radiator. Does it matter either way?

Also, the instructions say to mount the hinge to the top 3/4" radiator mount tube by drilling and tapping the 3/4" tube all the way thru (both sides). I see many using nutserts instead. Is one way preferred over the other? I am curious why use either of these methods instead of just running a bolt all the way through the cross member and putting a nut on it? It looks like you'd be able to reach it for later removal, but I suspect not based on the recommendations.

I believe the FFR instructions are for when using a Mustang donor style rad. They still had a rad cap on the left side, and to access it with the body on, the rad had to be shifted to one side.

The Breeze mount is centered and I used a nylon locknut, it is easily removable.

I would look at the radiator hose nipples and put it where ever they will give the best run for the hoses. You might also look at build threads to see how the aluminum panels in front of the rad fit between the rad and the body.

Good tip - working on that now with the radiator clamped roughly in place.
