Hi. Need some suggestions on how to fasten down the boot cover when using with the hard top off. Do not want to screw it down .

Not understanding quite exactly what you are asking, so I am going to take a guess...here is how I installed my cap in the back when hard top is off. Drill holes through vinyl and fiberglass cap, then installed with 1/4-20 Chrome Button Head Screws...doesn't look bad at all - IMO.
