Unknown bracket

I found this bracket in with the E brake components and can not find it in the manual. This is for a 33 hot rod. If anyone can just tell me whether I need it or not. It is a small rectangle 2" x 2.75", with a hole in each corner and n X across the middle from corner to corner. I tried to download a photo but was unable.

Maybe it's for the "whatsit", I didn't order that option on my Gen1 kit (probably the only option I didn't order)

It’s the brace for the top of the Wilwood pedal box. There should be 4 Allen head bolts with it.

Wonder when that was added, wasn't in gen 1 and the early gen2 manual I have doesn't have it either... was the pedal box changed or is there a weakness?
