Hello all
I was trying to confirm which connection to hook up the cockpit lights on the headlight switch. I followed the diagram and when I probed the indicated with a test light i could not find one that activates when i rotate ths knob counter clockwise

Any thoughts?

The switch interrupts the ground supply to your cockpit light.
1. Therefore you will need to connect the lead of your test probe to Battery positive.
2. The ground supply for the switch is from the dashboard metalwork. As such, if the dash metalwork is not sufficiently grounded, and the body of the swtich grounded to the dash, then you wont get a complete circuit.

Hope that makes sense.

Not sure what headlight switch your using, but do you have a dash dimmer switch as well? That used to be the one used to turn on interior lights.

I wired my cockpit lights entirely independently, and use a toggle switch for them. Very simple to wire this way.
