Just got off the phone with Mike Forte and he told me they discontinued the TKO-600 and the TKX is the latest model. Here is a link to the new model: https://shiftsst.com/tremec-tkx-5-speed

My setup will come with the TKX, which should be interesting.

When I spoke to Mike he said ithe TKX should be a nice improvement over the TKO.

They are saying "their most compact transmission yet." I wonder if there are different dimensions that will affect the build...?

Lots of information on the web about the TKX. Google and read. Including Tremec's service manual with dimensions. Quickly compared to the TKO service manual dimensions. Overall length, input shaft length, distance to shifter all same or nearly the same as the TKO. Since it's advertised as a replacement for the TKO, no surprise I guess. Clearly the case is a bit slimmer and trimmer. Weight listed as the same a TKO.

I think the TKX has a better synchro design too.

Right. Among several changes/improvements with the TKX. Lots of sources of detailed information as I mentioned before. This one goes into some depth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryeUq3tGNQw&t=6s&ab_channel=ModernDriveline. Found another source that confirmed what I posted earlier -- that the overall installation dimensions and shifter location are the same. Even seemed to say the bell housing mount-up is the same pattern. So seems like a win all around. Fits right where the TKO did with TKO issues addressed.
