I got to work on a real one today, CSX1007. Guy bought it a month ago from Utah and moved it to FL. I replaced the carb jets and got the AFR right where it needs to be. Quite the honor!

Very cool indeed. And I do love that color! Hopefully you took the complimentary "Mechanics Test Drive" just to make sure everything checked out? I mean, backing her out of the garage at the very least ;)

When I first got into the hobby that deep BRG was my 1st choice for paint. No roll bar either. It's still one of my favorite colors and perfect on a Cobra

Absolutely gorgeous car.

Thanks for sharing the vid and more background on these very few gems that still exsist, Dave. And here I thought the color was awesome, those wheels - damn! I wish those would come to market in a more affordable money range. Eh, here's to wi$hing!

Spectacular! What a ride! And those wheels!

It also looks like a more "narrow hip" roadster, very rare, because those Sunburst wheels don't talk the typical wide s/c rubber, yet don't get lost in the rear flares.

IMO, a car like that is almost perfect.

I note that the FE motor came from Southern Automotive, by old friend Bill Parham's (RIP) outfit in McDonough GA. I had a chance to stop by and visit them in September. They still build motors specializing in FE's. And FTR, they can build a nice 390FE over 425hp complete with faux side boltsfor not a whole lot more cheese than many small blocks, and only the geekiest of purists could tell it wasn't a 427 side-oiler. Their stroked 390, at 445ci, looks like a monster deal for the big hp crowd...

Very cool - so many different variants of the originals and those "continuations" that Shelby was involved in (be they Superformance, Kirkham, or these built in association with the successor to AC Cars) really bring big money.

Have to add that I love the color, too, but then, I am a sucker for a dark green Cobra.

Nice car! Now Henry, the real question, other than its collectable value, is this car $400,000 better than a car yo could build and then fell comfortable driving?
