Hello,
I've misplaced my rear turn signal lights. Anyone have the diameter of the lights. Also, if anyone is using different lights than what FF supplies I'd love to see them. Same for the tail/brake lights.
Thanks
Glenn

Ajzride,
I hate posting this here. I replied to your generous offer with my address in a pm. However, I don't see what I sent you in the message area. If you don't see what I sent please let me know.

Thanks to Ajzride generous offer about the rear lights, I'm finally making progress on the rear clip. Now to start aligning the panels. So far it is finally starting to look like a car.

I like the upper grill.

Like the rear view too, as you might guess if you look at mine. Had a notion of exactly that upper part too, but was dead set on having the FFR text across that part so skipped it. About the exhaust tips, just FYI, so far no heat problems with my tips, looks like you have intermediate air flow between the inner and outer pipes. If you haven't tested it yet and are wondering, I'm expecting it will work fine. Of course even that little change in location compared to what I have lower down, could have a different air flow. Looks cool for sure.

Sorry to have taken so long responding, especially to Fletch who wanted more info on that part of the build.
I actually don't know where I saw it first but someone had done the bottom grill and was thinking of doing the bow tie. I also remember it being mentioned at the build school for the bow tie. I decided to go for it without any drawings or photos.
I believe both pieces come from a 2012 Kia Seoul. Naturally the bow tie from the front and the lower portion from the rear.
I had a piece of pvc sheeting from Home Depot or Lowes and laid out the hole for the top piece. You know how it goes, draw the shape, cut it out, cut it out a little more. If I cut too much I closed the gap with tape. Once I was satisfied with the fit, I transferred it to another piece of pvc sheeting and used that as the template again, making adjustments. Once I was happy with that I simply laid it on the back end and cut it out. Fit good.... For securing it, I started laying fiber glass around the opening on the inside so it would be like sides and envelope the inset. Although the fiberglass tuned out nicely and looked good it was too hard to work with securing the bow tie.
I ended up fiber glassing in two aluminum angles at the top and bottom of the opening. I used small screws through the tabs of the bow tie into the aluminum. Here are the photos of the inside mounting.

For the bottom, I laid the piece on the rear clip. and traced where the mounting clips of the piece would go through the fiberglass if there were slits for them. I traced those areas and made small slits with a dremel. Once the piece fit nicely, I closed up the slits if they were a little too large.
After I finalized the fit, I cut out the fiberglass.
I may add a block at each slit on the inside so I can screw the tab and make it secure. Here are some photos of the inside mounting.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
The best piece of information is, take it slow and keep doing the trial fit.

Glenn,
Have you got any other photos of your rear from different angles? I'm really liking it, but would appreciate seeing it from a rear-quarter view and perpendicular (does anything stick out?).
Thanks!
