Hi All, first post here. Had a complete coupe kit delivered in September and dove right in with my teenage daughter on the build. So far, so good, and we are figuring things out. the forums are great. I cannot, however, figure out this fuel line between the tank and the filter (pic below). The one they include in the kit will not work in this space (the 90 degree elbow isn't right, and it's too long... and the port from the tank will only fit in this direction, so I can't turn it 90 degrees, for example, to make the elbow work.). Can I just buy some rubber fuel line and connect the two ends? if so, how should I terminate it since there is no barb on the two ends? will a normal hose clamp work, or would it just slide off. Do I need some sort of adapter on each end? Thank you! these forums have been fantastic. Emerson

I'd consider AN fittings on some PTFE line. Rubber fuel lines will eventually degrade over time. Call Mike Forte to get some custom lines made and he'll hook you up with the appropriate fittings for your pump and filter as well.

Hi Emosgarage - I realize this is an older post but I have the same issue. Can you let us know how you resolved it?

If that's where you mounted your fuel filter, you really just need to make a new line. You can buy quick connect fittings at your LAPS and use some of the fuel line in the kit. Or you can make a fancy PTFE line with AN fittings as mentioned above. Much of this kit requires adjustments, massaging, creatively interpreting the manual, etc.

I got AN stuff from Summit Racing. I did not use any of the kit stuff in that area except for the filter and filter hanger. The small fitting for the return line is a 3mm. I used black hose in the Brilliant line of AN hose stuff. If you choose to go the AN line stuff buy hose and fittings from the same manufacturer. I.E. Earl's line with Earl's fittings. Not all hoses are created equal.
