I think I may have posted on this topic before.
Ok, for some reason, my interior lights, fog lights and rear lights stopped coming on.
I took out the headlight switch to see what was wrong, and while playing around with it noticed that when I connected the two middle wires (blue and Beige) with a piece of electrical wire the interior lights and all the other lights came on properly.

I asked FF if this was ok to do and they told me yes.
Well that worked well for a while but recently all my lights (interior, headlights, brakes, etc. ) would shut off out of nowhere. They would then come off and on and flicker.
Pretty scary since I live in a pretty rural area and when the lights go off like that 2 things happen. 1) I can't see anything 2) since I still have the black gel coat no one can see me either. I literally disappear on the road.

I called FF and like the great company they are they sent me a new headlight switch immediately. I installed it and again the same thing is happening.

So my question is, what is the problem? Am I putting the wires in the wrong place?
Is that the proper wiring configuration for the headlight switch?
What could be causing this?
What can I do about it?

The lights going off and on is the internal circuit breaker tripping. Either it isn't wired right or you have an excessive load like high amp headlamps that need to be run through relays. I don't have the time right now but hopefully someone can post a diagram of the headlight switch and what terminal does what. If not, I can do it later after work.

Thanks MM,.. will look forward to it. FYI all parts are FFR including headlights.

Alright, here's the diagram (lower left) showing the pinout for the switch. Cross reference it with your wiring diagram for your harness and make sure you have the wires on the proper terminals.

Thank you so much MM.
It's a bit hard to see but I will try to figure it out.

Fog lights? It looks like you have your fog lights wired into the taillights. Most of the fog lights I've seen need their own circuit as they will draw a lot of amps. I think you are burning out your switch with the load. I would suggest installing a relay into the circuit - tail light if that is how you want the lights to come on. 5221

In the image take the pink wire and connect it to the the blue wire post in your picture. Then hook disconnect your fog lights from the headlight switch and instead hook them to the relay - the red wire in the image. You can pick up the relay in most of the auto parts stores.

Ralph, good catch! I didn't see the word "fog" in his original post. Yes, if you are running the fog lights off of the headlamp circuit or tied into the headlight switch somehow, that is why the internal breaker on the switch is tripping. Wire them to a separate switch or use a relay to trigger them and use the parking or headlamp circuits as the relay's low voltage signal.
