Good morning from sunny The Villages, Florida.
My name is Bob Lupini and I am a long time racer. 40 years in drag-racing, I raced everything from Motorcycles to Top Alcohol funny-cars in NHRA and IHRA. About when sponsorship dried up in the early 2000's I took up vintage road-racing with HSR and SVRA. I race a Nascar Craftsman Truck and a 57 Corvette.

I was from the north east (Near Washington DC) and when I retired I moved to The Villages in Florida. In the transition I sold the cars I had to make it easier to move. Now that I am settled I have rented a real nice shop near by and made it my race shop.
It is time to now fill it with stuff to race. I have built a new dragster to run NHRA and want to get back to road racing.
That is where Factory Five comes into play.
I am thinking a challenge car with a LS3 or a Cadillac CTS-V engine.
What race series are people running with their cars?
What Compos are you using?

Thanks
Bob Lupini
Take a look at my Facebook page and see some of our (My wife Sally, also races from time to time and serves as crew chief and spotter)

Very nice, welcome Bob!! A great bunch of folks here, super helpful. Love the vette - but of course I'm going to say you should race a '33 :D

A great and impressive introduction. Welcome to the Family (and welcome to the South!...I'm In SC near Myrtle Beach) I've been with FFR and this forum just a bit over a year and can say from my short experience that you'll find a lot of experience, other racers, builders and all are happy to help out and share their experience. It's a great and friendly group and some of the most supportive hobbies I've ever met.

Just to get a feel of what you're getting into, take the time to read the very first pin'd post in the Roadster forum. Someone with your experience may just find it mouth watering. LOL

Again, welcome and know you're among a great group of people and enthusiasts.

Well I drank the Kool-Aid. With help from the forum I just came home with just what I was looking for. A race FFR Cobra that I can run HSR, SCCA and NASA events with. It is an older build that was done right with all the up to date mods for racing (And I may just put tags on it just to let the neighbors know when I want to do a little cruising around the hood.) It is has the horsepower and speed to be fast and scary as a FFR car should be.

Thanks
Bob Lupini
