Hi, thanks again for all the tip on the first half of this adventure. Now that I have the tunnel cover all smoothed out I need to cover it. I'll be using 1/8" thick foam and marine grade vinyl.

Question:

Do I glue the vinyl to the foam first and then glue it to the tunnel cover?

Or

Do i glue the foam to the tunnel cover first and then glue the vinyl to the foam?

I think I am having analysis paralysis. Thank you, Tim

Don't know if there is a right or wrong way. I glued the foam then the covering with 3M90. Held up for 5 years & was really tuff to pull off when I did an upgrade. Sun is strong here so if there was a likelihood of a fail it would have happened. Car is a daily driver all year round.

Glue the foam to the aluminum, then glue the vinyl to the foam. Works great. I used 3m 77. I ended up peeling everything off and doing it in leather. The vinyl came off the foam pretty easily, but I had to scrape the foam off the aluminum. It sounds like Kevin had good luck going with 3m 90, so I won't counter that.
