I have a Gen II coupe.

How do you torque the castle nut on the lower ball joint? There is only 1 3/4 " clearance, that won't accommodate the torque wrench (2 1/4").

Thanks.

You could put a crows foot on the torque wrench at 90 degrees and it should reach and would be the same. (https://www.tekton.com/how-to-accurately-use-a-torque-wrench-with-a-crowfoot-wrench). Or you could do what most of us do. Get it tight by feel within the prescribed range, line up the nearest slot in the castle nut with the hole, install the cotter pin and call it good.

What edwardb said but when you go to install the cotter pin tighten the nut. Don't loosen it.

Agreed. That's what I meant but obviously wasn't very clear. Thanks for the clarification.
