Has anyone purchased one of these from Lokar or a similar product? Is it something that would be useful? I don't have to purchase it now, but I do have the drivetrain installed and am now buttoning up the cockpit aluminum and it may be easier to install the pro version (requires replacing the shifter stub & ball assembly) now, instead of after.
TKO 600, normal shifter location.
I'm most inclined to get to go-cart stage and see if I like the shifter position before I purchase.

I'm not sure what benefit that part provides. What's it's purpose? I bolted my shifter directly to the TKO-600 stub in the rear-most (normal) position.

The positioner has a ball joint that allows a full 360 degree positioning of the shifter. Im not sure how far fore/aft it allows, but it appears to be a fair bit.
I have a 10" angled billet shifter from Bowler that I want to use. It angles forward (or reverse) but not towards the left as your shifter appears.
I see. Another thing you may consider is the FFMetal trans cover. It come with no holes, so once you get your shifter positioned where you want it, you make the hole were you need it.

I used the FFMetal transmission cover and was very happy with it.
It's substantially thicker and has NO HOLES as Papa stated so it worked out well because my shifter hangs off to the left side of the transmission.

I used the front of the original piece and cut both pieces to fit so that the main portion could be easily removed if necessary.
I just seemed to be a good idea since my dash, access hatches, and slave cylinder cover are all removable.
Good Luck From The Dark Dart Side!
