Good morning everyone, hope everyone is keeping safe!!
So i struggled this weekend getting my Front parking lights and signals to work. I installed what FF sent me. Wired it all up. Headlights and high beams work perfectly. Its my parking lights and signals that are not. Everything on the dash functions correctly and the flashers is doing what it should be. I put my meter on the plug right before the light its self and it is showing voltage intermittently working with the flasher and when the headlights are on i have a constant 12 volt going to the lights. But the lights themselves wont go on.
I did install the LED flashers from FF. i confirmed that.
What am i missing?
Thankyou
Nelson

I had the same issue, check the wires. The ones I had the white wire was the ground and the black was the hot, they only work one way. I started with the black as the ground maybe you did as well.

wow, really. I did hook it up with Black as ground and White as hot. I will check it out!!!
I will return with results
thank you David

Well that was it. Re Wired it all and bam!!! i have parking lights and all flashers.
Who figured White was ground lolol Awesome. Hopefully this will help others lolol
thankyou, Next up is the fog lamps from FF.

Glad you got it working. Agree it's confusing. Pretty common though that LED leads are white = ground and black = positive. I've had a number that way.

great it was a simple fix

Good Morning,
in the "For What it's Worth" department I bought an inexpensive 12VDC 30A Universal Regulated Switch Power Supply to bench test the various circuits before installing onto my build. Amazon sells such items for less than $20. It was a good way for me to determine, before installation, the polarity of the various lighting pigtails and well as other circuits on the car before hooking up the battery.

Definitely more than $20, but this is what I used to troubleshoot electrical issues:

This type of diagnostic tool is very useful.

That it is. I use a probe to analyze existing wiring systems. The 12VDC is useful for building and bench testing systems before installation.

I agree with Ron J. I bench test each everything before installing. Just habit but eliminates any issues. I use a small 12v battery I have for my rolling shop tray. For the bench I use a small 3 Amp RadioShack 12v inverter for small stuff and then when Circuit City was going out of business I bought the 12v inverter that powered their entire audio wall which I have never had the occasion to use for any practical application. For confusing items like LEDs I usually will then mark the positive side with a sharpie or paint pen.
When I did my complicated wiper setup with 2 relays with a double pole dual throw toggle switch that all got bench tested prior to install into the car because too much could have gone wrong.
It's a great investment.

Sorry to hijack the thread, this is an electrical question though.
Do you mind sharing your circuit diagram for the wiper setup with 2 relays? I wanted to add a washer function to the wiper circuit. Ron Francis Tech Support designed a circuit for me using their WS-81 and 2 relays (all this to get the park function to work). The circuit works in theory, but not so much in the real world. I abandoned the concept. Following is the circuit they designed for me. Any comments.

Above is the post with all the info on the relay circuit

The second post has the diagram for the toggle switch
My goal was to get high and low and park using a chrome toggle switch to match the rest. I did not add washers. If I were to add washers I’d probably just add a momentary button that triggers the washer pump and leave the whole circuit alone. Turn on my wipers and hit the momentary button while they were moving.
If you want a washer and wiper low function plus park, low and high in the same switch start by trying to find a triple throw triple pole switch. That’s (on)-off-on-on. But it’s going to need 3 poles. That’s going to be your challenge I mean it’s a big world I’m sure someone makes it. Otherwise find a specific switch for this application but it’s going to look funny I’m sure and won’t match the rest of what you’ve got.
Find that switch and I’ll try to help you with the wiring diagram on how to get it to work. It’s all fresh in my head right now so it’s a good time for me to tackle this.

I was told by a really old timer, that was because the wiring in your house uses white for neutral, and black as the hot wire.
China has not figured the normal scheme for DC wiring is red and black in the US.

Easy. Cole Hersee 75600-04. Have it installed in my Coupe. Works exactly like an OE setup. Variable intermittent, low, high, and park. Push for washers. If the wipers are off, push the button and it runs the washer, sweeps the wipers a few times, and shuts back off. Comes with a generic knob, but has an industry standard 1/4-inch shaft. I used a knob that matched my heat and A/C knobs and laser etched icons. Wish I had a better picture (e.g. without dust...) but on the center console below the dash. The Col Hersee switch is a little chunky, but with proper planning can fit. Pictured below with the Specialty Power Windows wiper setup and works perfectly. Saw a post where another forum member was able to get it to work with the more common Lucas style wipers.

Paul’s got the whole thing figured out! Freakin awesome and slick with the matching knobs.
