Installed red 6 mm flush mount LED bolts from Oznium on the upper part of the 3rd leg. I am pretty happy with how it came out. The angle of the leg points them up to better account for the regular tail lights being so low. I figured the small amount of strength I give up by drilling into the bar is a fair tradeoff for the additional visibility when braking. The LEDs come with their trim ring black and only thing I don't love about them is the actual face of the LED is a silver-ish color (didn't take a picture of that) so they don't completely blend into the bar. I was thinking I will probably lightly paint them with a tinted clear to make them blend in a little better.

I am not claiming to have come up with the idea, I have seen others post about it. This is just my version of it.

That should really help other drivers take notice, especially at night, or, in stop and go traffic.
Our cars are so low that if a guy in a pick up truck is close on your tail, in stop and go traffic, they can't see your regular taillights.

Thanks Jeff, Sten and abdw-wcw.

Yeah Bill I was thinking the same. They are hard to miss, like you said especially at night.

Here are a few more pictures from the installation. A couple are on my test piece of roll bar.

I like the idea of a third brake light, and don't know why more don't use one. My version.
What is wrong with this site??? why does it always screw up the orientation of pictures? In preview, it's correct, but not when I save it

Yeah that looks very similar. What lights did you use?

Some of my pics flip around too. Yours is weird bc the preview is upside down and when I click on it, its right side up.

Looks great! What steering wheel is that?

Thank you.

The wheel is a Ford Performance part made by Sparco, part number M-3600-RA. It was used on the Cobra Jet or Boss 302S. I had Russ drill the pattern in the hub for it when I ordered his turn signal assembly.
