Front Blinker/Running Lights

I was reassembling all my lights after having the bezels powder coated. When I was putting the front blinkers back together I couldn’t seem to get the ring to lock on very well. The lens locks on to the light with about an 1/8th-1/4 turn but the ring can pop off. It feels as if they are just held on by friction. Anyone notice this or am I putting them back together wrong?

I changed my front turn sig/blinker units to units I bought from Rogers Motors (JollyRogersMotors. com) part#RM00813 They look like the rear lights but with amber lenses. Not cheap at $65 but I like the look.

The rings just push onto the lense.

What Jeff said. I think I also applied a little bit of silicone adhesive out of sight to make sure that the dress ring didn't fall off on some of our rubbish roads.
