Next Generation Turbos. Electric!

So this is pretty cool, the fact that it can charge itself makes it more feasible over the current generation of E-Turbos. Seen some guys who tried this, both successful and not, but have been only good for one pass or a minute or so of run time. With this, just decel and running the engine with charge it again, just curious what the charge rate is. I hope this is successful, this can make Hybrid vehicles more popular and have better performance while increasing . Image if the rumors are true with the new C8 ZO6 being hybrid had this E-Turbo set-up, would be insane.

The possibilities here are extremely interesting. You could conceivably put a ~2 liter engine with one of these setups into a roadster or coupe with significant gains. Significant weight reduction; significant power gains. Granted, it's a ways down the road, but great food for thought! (just think - you'd actually have room in the engine bay!)
