I am planning my first build and I am 6'5". I am looking for recommendations for seat type and or build modifications to maximize head and leg room. Any and all suggestions are welcome. I look forward to working with this community. FracAG1980

Low back kirkey aluminum race seat mounted on the floor. I am 6'3 and fit fine in that seat with a track that raises the seat up an inch.

6'1" here and echo Gordon's comments– low back Kirkey race seats I think will give you the most available room. I have tracks on my driver side and no problem with headroom.

I built an early GenI coupe and I'm about 6'-3". Headroom to the roof wasn't a problem to me but the side roof bar in the roll cage led to several bumps until I fully wrapped the bars. Don't know if this has been changed in the later Gen's.

Nope. Same bars in the Gen 3. I put padding on them. Would be the same for the bars behind the seats if you aren't running high backs. Which I strongly recommend.

The halo is the same, the main bar behind the seat is in the same position but built differently. The big different is the square tube chassis allows the seats to sit more than 2" lower in the car than the round tube cars. For tall guys that is huge. It feel similar to the gen 1 and 2 cars I lowered the drivers seat floors 2" in.

My son who is 6-3 + easily fit in and drove my car. OK he is 29 and thin but he fit fine. More space inside than my Mkll roadster but harder to get into. I am 5-10 and about 180 lbs, old guy but fit. I have the Kirkey high back seats mounted with the Kirkey mounts on 1 inch square tubing. The Kirkey seats are great but they do make entry into the car tight. If you are a larger guy look at a different seat. I have roll bar pading on the the bar that runs along the top of the doors, you can hit your head on it getting in and out of the car.
