Well, I am over 1000 miles in gelcoat and enjoying the car.
Something I have noticed, especially during take off from a stop.
The first, about 1/2 inch of depression of the throttle pedal does nothing.
Being drive by wire, it seems like the volume knob is not working until turned past this half inch.
Once the pedal active range is reached it operates as normal.
This is a consistent condition.
It seems I read somewhere, for initialization, the key should be turned on and gradually depress the pedal to WOT.
I would guess this is for the initial power up of the ECU?????
I will adjust to it, if it cannot be dialed in.
I do not think I want a pedal stop on the return side of the motion.

I'm not aware of any specific initialization steps or external adjustments to the DBW module. Never noticed anything like that on the Coyote builds I've done. I don't know specifics, but I do know speed, sensitivity, etc. can be adjusted in the PCM calibration. I've had Lund adjust mine a bit both times they did tunes for me. Do you have an ODB2 scanner that gives live readouts of data? Many do. You can see pedal position as a percentage in the data stream. Might be interesting to see if that first 1/2-inch you're talking about is actually showing in the data. Aside from calibration, wouldn't rule out something happening with either the DBW module or the throttle body.

Great suggestion on monitoring pedal movement data. I have an X-4 and will see what I can do.
Thanks,

My pedal seems to be very sensitive too. I'm going to ask Lund to tweak it next time I have my tune updated.

My pedal seems to be very sensitive too. I'm going to ask Lund to tweak it next time I have my tune updated.
I am communicating with Lund and they asked for a data log, 1/2" throttle movement only.
Trying to get that done with other daily check offs.

Well, I threw in the towel on the pedal movement issue. I might worry about it some other time.
I could not configure the data log for pedal movement and get the data logging to start.
I had the instructions in hand. I have data logged, programmed and updated previously, but for some reason, I was struggling today.
I ask Lund if they could give me call, but that did not happen either.
I did spend some time watching the actual movement of the throttle pedal arm and engine rpm.
I may be over reacting. Combining that with an un clean rev from idle to 2K, I just shut everything down and came home.
Maybe another day.

I noticed the same thing and it turned out that the orientation of the pedal caused the pedal itself to rotate before the arm moved. I adjusted the way my pedal is mounted to give a higher (rotated toward the driver) orientation and now I get throttle response immediately upon pressure application.

Thanks for the advise. I too have moved my pedal assembly the same. I think I mounted the pedal, fixed to the pedal arm.
If anyone has some data logs, I have recorded 41* advance from about 1500 to 2000 rpm.
My reason for asking is the no load rpm from idle to 2000 is not clean.
The not clean, breaking up slightly rpm at no load is what I have taking off from a stop.
It seems if I do not catch this just right, I either kill the engine or revs too high, which is hard on the clutch.
This is hardly noticeable on flat ground, but magnifies on a hill.
I hope to make another attempt at data logging the no response area on the throttle pedal for Lund.
I do not recall the engine having this issue with the Ford " just get it running tune" in the computer.
thanks,
