My TKO600 has a 2 wire plug on the driver side of the tail of the transmission, which google tells me is the Neutral Safety switch. I'm using the clutch safety switch, so I don't plan to hook this one up (and I don't see anything included in the RF harness). Do I need to do anything with the plug, or can I just zip tie it out of the way?

Thanks!

I wired mine in parallel to the clutch switch - it works exactly the same. So now the clutch must be down OR the transmission out of gear. Or yes just ignore it.

Zip tie for sure.

I wired mine in series to the clutch switch - it works exactly the same. So now the clutch must be down OR the transmission out of gear. Or yes just ignore it.

Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't the switches have to be wired in parallel to work as described?

Yes, you are correct, parallel not series. If they were in series you would have to be in neutral AND have the clutch depressed

When you wired up the neutral safety switch, di you connect the neutral switch to a relay and use that to send the signal or just go straight through the switch? I thought I read that the neutral switch on the TKO is designed to send a signal to an ECU, not as a traditional neutral switch, therefore prone to failure if you do so. Just curious, all things being equal my personal preference is a neutral switch vs a clutch safety (i'm lazy and don't like to get in the car to start it to warm it up - joys of the carb!).

Woah, sorry guys. Brain fart. Yes wired in parallel.

I just checked with voltmeter how the neutral switch worked, then wired it up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - but since there's no computer/power to TKO I figured it can't be anything too fancy - on-off? How can there be a signal? But I don't even play an electrician on TV :D
