Well my '33 Hot Rod Gen 2 is set to be picked up just before Christmas and the car lift is on the shop floor ready to be installed. As I start my 2nd professional life, I decided there was no time like the present to do the things we really want to do. After wrenching as a teenager, i set my 13 year old son and father down the road to build an engine then found a '65 Chevy pickup that we did a frame off resto on and we had a blast completing it. After hearing about Factory Five and watching Ford vs Ferrari, my son and i decided we needed to build a Roadster but i just could not get past the looks of the '33. Both my son and daughter are looking forward to helping and I am looking forward to making some great memories in the shop and then down the road. Going to need a lot of help so thank you in advance for your time and expertise.

Have fun on this second profession. I am building the roadster with my daughter. The kit has yet to arrive and I am amazed at how she is setting down her electronic devices and planning the build.....

Thanks! Looks like we both will be spending a little extra at the manicurist!

My first cobra build (1998) my son jumped in and helped where he could as he was 13 at the time. He later went on to learn how to drive in that car which is still a great storey to hear when he explains to his friends (who can't even drive a standard) that he learned on such a hi performance car. I hope that experience has carried over into the fact that he's never had an accident driving in the years since.
