I am planning on putting the engine in and was wondering if there is anything I should/need to put on it before install such as sensors that are hard to add after install? It is a Blueprint complete package. Thanks for any advice.

347 Carb no power or air, TKO 600
There really isn't anything you won't be able to get to once the engine is installed. Are your brake lines in? That may be one thing that is complicated with the engine in the way. Fuel lines would be easier before, but not really an issue with the engine in. Electrical harness, same thing.

4 in 4 headers or shorty headers? I had my oil pressure sender installed and oil filter as well. just one less thing to install in cramped engine bay. I used shorty headers and had those on during install as well w/ no issues w/ clearance.
addendum: oh, and make sure you trim off any tabs that are necessary on the trans and bellhousing.

we followed the steps from the assembly manual with fuel lines and brake lines, etc, and once we got to the engine install point, we just dropped the engine in and continue with a regular assembly. No issues with things being hard to install, etc.
We have BPE 347 with TKO600 combo.

Lift the rear. Make sure the front is high enough for your engine hoist to get under.
If your transmission has fluid, make sure you have a plug in the output.
4 into 4 headers - no. Everything else on a SBF, yes.
It goes in so quick, you will wonder why you even bothered to think about it.

For me the one must have is an engine levelor.

Brush the threads and the bearings on each end w/ wheel bearing grease. There is a LOT of load on it when you tilt the engine trans enough to get it in. And then it will be a lower a little, change angle a little, lower a little process so it's nice if the crank isn't to stiff. Before you start the process double check that the "A" frame trans mount bolts all go in easily but leave it off the car. You will need to lift the back of the trans slightly to get it over the big frame cross tube. It is an easy one hand lift and then it sits on the tube. Once the front engine mounts are in place hook the rear ends of the "A" frame on top of the tabs on the frame. The leverage is such that you can then easily push the front of the "A" frame up which will raise the trans a little. This is where making sure the bolts line up before hand comes in so you can install the front bolts and nuts w/ one hand while holding the "A" frame in position w/ the other.

Success. Was easier than thought but still took some thought based on garage size. Had a lot of help.

Great videos, thank you. On a different note, is that LED strip lighting in the engine bay? Also, does the FFR kit come with the vent tubing for the foot boxes?
