Hello all. I am a resident of Sugar Land, Tx. I am 62 and have 3 teenage sons, yes I started late. I have become very interested in building a Gen 3 Cobra Coupe and I am hopeful that I can find support and advise I will most certainly need in these Forums.
I'm pretty sure that my first problem is that I am 6'5" tall. I am hoping that I can make contact here with a Coupe owner in the Houston area that will allow me to see and possibly attempt to sit in their car.
I greatly appreciate any and all feedback. This is the first of many questions I am sure or maybe the last... Need to know my options.

Welcome. Two comments: (1) You only want to be looking at a Gen 3 Coupe. They have wider door openings and more headroom than previous generations. Can almost guarantee you won't be comfortable in a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Coupe. (2) Seats make a huge difference. For your height, you're going to need seats that sit flat on the floor and flat against the back wall. If what you're looking at aren't like that, you won't get an accurate picture.
Having said that, I am afraid you may find it very tight. Even in the best circumstances. Just depends on what you're comfortable with.
My Gen 3 Coupe build is completed and driving this season. Absolutely love it. Build thread in the sig line below. We fit comfortably. But I'm height challenged at only 5'-10" and my wife is much shorter. Good luck.

Thanks edwardb for the great information and at least some encouragement. I am very hopeful there will be a way to get me to fit. Your build videos look great. I look forward to letting you know when I get started!. Thanks again.

Hi FracAG1980
I'm in the process of building my Gen 3 Coupe now. About a year into the process and hoping to be done driving by next summer.
Next time your heading west on 290 you could swing by and see and sit in my car if you like. My address in in Paige TX. just north of Bastrop TX. I am currently using the low back seats (from FFR) with small seat mounts, about 3/4" off of the floor. I would agree with edwardb that being over 6 feet tall might be a challenge but can be done in the Gen 3. Doug

Thanks Doug. I drove to San Marcos last weekend to see the Cobras at the Annual Texas Cobra Club Meeting. Thank you for your hospitality and I will find a time that will work for me and let you know and see if it is good for you. I hope the build is going well. FracAG1980

Doug, I'd like to take you up on the offer of a look and sit in your coupe. Let me know if either Saturday the 17th or the 24th work and if so, which would be best for you? If neither are good, let me know a date and time that would be. I am very flexible and don't want to impose in any way. Thanks, FracAG1980
