Ok still getting into my car. I have some gauges that are not quite right, or working. So I am going to replace them all with Autometers, unless someone has a better idea. Here's the deal. There are small glass/chrome bezels that fit into holes in the dash. They cover the mustang gauges that are behind. (Is the normal)?? Anyway is it possible to remove these and the gauge panel or whatever its called and put in mechanical gauges? I don't want to mess up the wiring, I'm assuming that there's a plug from the harness back there? Is this the way the kit came? I thank you all,
Mike

That's normal for the Mustang gauges. It sounds like yours are wired to the mustang gauge cluster that was installed behind the dash. They can definitely be removed and replaced by Autometers but it's going to take some rewiring. I have some pics here (https://cobra.spintime.org/assypicsinterior.html) that show how I installed the donor gauges using terminal blocks instead of the cluster. They should give you an idea of what you are up against.

Wow, Thank you very much my sir. I had no Idea, wow. Ok I'm going to try to cut the vinyl around the bolts on the dash and remove it. If I do this then it will be all Autometers, GPS speedo I'm thinking, tach, and mech. oil and water. The volt and ammeter are working but will replace the volt anyway. Ammeter Ill replace with something else.. Boost maybe. Thank you so much. The pics are great and it turned out very nice I think. I Bought the car I did not build it. It is super nice but I knew some of the gauges were not working. I figured just crappy gauges, I had no idea till I got to researching that they had used the stock mustang cluster. Which seems like a cluster to me from the word go. Anyway the Fox guys are all having these same issues and how to fix them. My fix will be to throw them away and use new gauges. We shall see. Thank you again. A picture is worth a thousand words, I think Helen Keller said that , maybe. I do thank you though. Mike

Oh and how did you move the pedals.? That is a big thing I need to do. I have big feet. Are they adjustable or do I need to do some cutting and welding??Thanks Mike

The pedal arms can be bent to give you more room, assuming they are the Mustang parts. There are several tools that are passed around to members of this site. These are special tools that were made by people here. Make a post asking for the loan of a
'pedal bender" and I am sure someone will have one to send you. Many of us also have narrow driving shoes that help.

There was a post several months ago trying to find a peddle bender, and it seemed no one had the tool that replied??? Might be harder to find one of manufactured ones!
I ran across a post a long time ago that showed making one with some flat stock and bolts??
