Hey all,
Got my 818 all finished and drove it into my trailer to see how I could tie it down. I found good tie down points in the rear, but how are you all tying it down up front?

I use these Vulcan Lasso style straps on my MK-4.
https://www.amazon.com/Vulcan-Lasso-Style-Chain-Anchors/dp/B06Y1S4MZZ/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=vulcan+tie+down+straps&qid=1602622008&sr=8-6
I run them through the rim, not around the tire, and they work well.
The ratchets attach easily to my trailer since I've got an outer rail for adding a stake body when desired.
Hope This Helps!
I have a 12’ landscape trailer, too short to raise the ramp with the car on the trailer. I cut the front railing off so the the front of my car hangs over about a foot. I put a 2x4 across the front of the bed about 1’ back from the front lip. I ran 2 10 1/2” from the front lip to the 2x4 to brace it. I then drove the car forward until the front wheels hit the 3 1/2” tall 2x4 I had screwed dow to the bed. I bought 3,000 lb ratchet straps an ran then around the front rail post, between 2 spikes of the wheel and back to the ratchet. I tightened the ratchet and did the same on the other side. I did the same thing in the back the strap went around the back vertical rail post, between 2 spikes and back to the ratchet. The 4 pack of straps were much cheaper than wheel straps and I will use them to strap my kayaks onto my roof racks next summer. I drove fast and in stop and go traffic for 2 hours and the car never moved at all.
That’s spokes not spikes the the strap went between. So much for autocorrect and not proofing well enough.

I have had excellent results with E-track on the front wheels, if you have room in the front. Easy on and off and super secure. Every car mover I have seen uses it.

I use that on the front and rear of my 818R as it is so low.
Again, the most secure method I have seen.
