I picked up my car on 8/20/20 at FFR and got to work on it right away. It is a complete kit and I got the rear, straight axle, wheels and tires from them and got a bunch of upgrades and got out the door for a shade under 30k. I bought the 347 crate engine and trans package for Blueprint and am very pleased with what I got. I stripped off the aluminum for satin black powder coat and even though you don't see much aluminum when the car is done it is money well spent just for the protection of the aluminum. I have my chassis complete, except for the backordered parts, rear shocks, radiator, door latches, engine headers and a few small parts and it would be drivable. I have upgraded a lot of the parts from Breeze and FF Metal and other vendors to make the car better for me. Did a test fit of the body over the weekend and that went well. One item I upgraded was the plastic wrapped dash. I have seen on other posts that guys have made bkts. to lower the dash so they could get to the screws for easy removal, so I did the same only to find out I didn't need to do that to get to the screws. Saturday I removed the bkts. and remounted the dash to find out the tach was hitting the frame hoop. (the plastic dash does not match the arc of the frame hoop. If its to the top of the frame hoop in the center the sides stick up a half inch over the hoop and vice versa.) To bring the center of the dash up so the body would cover it, it made the tach hit the hoop, so I notched the hoop for tach clearance. After the body install test the dash almost touches the tach in that corner, with the bulb seal installed. Its close but I'll live with it. If I'm going to complain in these next few sentences I will about the Ebrake. It just needs a redesign. Period. Not the handle but the cable routing and the springs are barely strong enough to return the cables. I see other cable guide bkts installed but don't know what they are for unless it is for IRS. So... a better fitting plastic dash, and a redesign of the e brake so the cables don't rub the cross member are the only complaints I have. All in all I love this car and for being a "kit" it is well thought out and nicely made,136294 and can't wait to finish it. I'm doing body work now and wanted to paint it before the weather turned colder but I want to get the body mounted and everything gapped but can't till I get the rest of my parts. So maybe it will be ready in the spring when I can paint it.136295
