Other than Whitby's, does anyone have a body and paint shop recommendation for the mid-Atlantic region, preferably a shop that has some experience with the roadster?

I've checked out some of the local hot rod/custom paint shops near my home base in northern VA, but wanted to expand my search to see what else might be out there. Thank you.

Try Spotlight Customs in Dahlonega, GA. There are a couple folks using this shop and I've heard happy customers. 678-316-9231

If you have transport to Indiana and can fit in his time schedule I would recommend Jeff Kleiner. His work is top notch and very reasonable price. Get in touch with him you will not be disappointed. Either way good luck.

Thanks. I've reached out but I'm assuming I didn't make it on his list.

I think Jeff maybe backed up close to a year? Unless he's been working like a madman all summer.

RJD,
I don’t think we’ve actually spoken via phone because I don’t have you in my contacts. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I get tons of inquiries about pricing and how the process works and when I reply with that info I tell them to call to discuss further. Sometimes I get no reply or an “OK, sounds good” but until we speak no one is confirmed. As Rich said I’m currently about a year out (you keep and drive your car during that time) but if you’d like more info let me know.

Less beer, more work.
Oh wait, that's a stupid idea.

Hi Jeff - sent you a PM. I fall into that pricing category also!

Thanks!
Ryan

You are very busy and in high demand but yes sir, we chatted on the phone on or about 9/12/19. The timeline you mentioned to me was mid 2020 and I said that would be fine. I sent you a follow-up PM on 9/13 thanking you for taking time out to talk with me. I also sent a link with the paint scheme I had in mind. You responded by PM that the link was broken and I sent you another link.

I left a few follow-up phone messages after that but oftentimes your mailbox was full. I didn't want to keep pestering you and conferred with another forum member whose car you had just completed, and he recommended to sit tight and wait for your prep package.

I sent a last PM on 8/16/20 asking to confirm whether or not I was on your list. When mid 2020 came and went, I just figured things were too busy or clogged-up due to COVID.

Just note that I plan to work with Jeff Kleiner as comes highly recommended. You were asking about a mid east coast option.

Excellent choice. He and Miller are the best.
