Wiring Question

Doing the wiring section of the build, ( the part I like the least) and it seems that there are two sets of instructions. One for the Mustang and one for the Vintage gauge set which I have. I see the and hooked up the dash harness which includes a lot of wires for the EFI, which I am carbureted, My engine is very basic, just coolant temp, oil pressure and fan sensor.So I used the wires for the sending units which came with the Vintage gauges. The only wires in that harness I used were for the electric choke and the fan sensor wire. Should I just cut or tape off all the other wires or just remove them form the plug. It seems like there is a lot of double wiring to try to fit all models of the car. Or am I missing something here.

Any wires that you don't use can just be blunt cut, shrink tubed, and wrapped for possible future use.

Agreed, that's exactly what I would have said (and did).
