Quick question about sway bars.

I will be using my car for track days once it is complete so I assume sway bars (front and rear) are a must (kit will have IRS).

With that said, before I have FFR add the sway bars to my kit order, are there any other options I should be considering? Other companies or vendors? Also, the rear IRS clip I purchased has a sway bar already attached. Would that fit on an FFR? (I doubt it but figured it was worth asking)

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You'll get different opinions on the sway bars. I had them on mine plus I have them on my Gen 3 Coupe. I'm very happy with how they ride and handle set up that way. But for my 99% street driving, not sure how much difference it makes. Others that know about this stuff can give you better feedback. But for the donor sway bar... no. Sorry. The bars Factory Five supplies are actually an aftermarket part for Miatas. Does that sway your opinion? :p

FFR has bars and Forte has stiffer fronts available. I'd go w/ the FFRs and only go stiffer if you need them later.

Anti-sway bars are used as a tuning tool. Ideally, you'd want the car to be pretty neutral without any bars. And then add bars to make final adjustments for under and over steer. Because the car is so light, gigantic bars are often not very helpful.

Bars connect the two sides of the car together. With IRS, if you use a big bar it will not be much of an IRS anymore.

For track use, you would want a light to medium bar, that is adjustable.

When I was racing my FFR, I disconnected the bars for street use. Made for a more comfortable ride.
