Hi All, have a wire I believe is meant to go to the negative battery terminal or ground to chassis, but cannot find it in any of the Manuals. This is a Gen 1 coyote control pack and this wire is about 24 inches down on the harness from the center computer plug. I have already grounded the controls pack chassis ground, as per the instructions, just not sure what this wire is for? 135531Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a gen1 control pack too and have a wire that looks a little different but is in a similar spot. Its labeled (Ground for cooling fan). I grounded it to the 2x2 frame.
You can double check it by doing a continuity test with a multimeter and another known ground in the control pack.

Thanks Michael, I have the cooling fan ground also, which I grounded. I think this may be the “starter solenoid / Batt. neg post” that’s in the Ford Racing controls pack instructions, but there is also suppose to be a white wire and there is no white wire, and this is like a 10 gauge wire.

On the gen 2 controls tech sheet it looks like they are calling that a ground (E)

Edit. It looks like this is the original controls pack spec sheet for the 2013 Coyote:

Weird. I will still do the continuity check on it to be sure.
