I've often wondered why nobody ever built a replica of this. It is one of my all time favorites as well.
Did anyone see the gullwing replica that Dave Kindig's guys did? Nothing like an original, but very cool.

Papa - yes, I saw that episode. One of the best cars they've built on that show IMO.
Chris, from what I understand Mercedes are VERY protective of that design and sue the &*$% out of anyone that's tried to make a replica. Too bad... I'd build one in a heartbeat.
