I am using the dual roll bars from breeze and love the look. I have not drilled and through bolted into final position yet. For those that have used the breeze roll bars do you have them pushed all the way to the chassis or did you keep them a distance higher?

It is largely dictated by the FFR mounts already on your chassis and you need room to slide the tubes over each other on the back leg when mounting, so my front hoop tube is about 2"above the base and then the inner sleeve slides right down to the bottom and the back leg is short enough to fit over the mount and then slide the inner sleeve down - again the sleeve goes right to the bottom, but the welded leg is 7-1/4" above the base.

As you can see at that it is quite a lot shorter than the FFR bar

Been working on the roll bar for a few days now. I had the hoop and the 3rd leg polished in prep for the chrome, polisher said it would be easy for him that way. On my hoop I had to spread it to fit. Put a bottle jack in-between the hoop and slowly moved it out. Still wasn't a great fit. I wanted it to slide on and off without to much pain. I took the hoop selves down to the machine shop and he ground them down on his crank grinder, now fits good. Next step for me is place in the car(still naked chassis) and weld it up. Im thinking that way it will minimize any movement. Some folks say they raise the bar up some, I tried that about 2" and it seems the 3rd leg doesn't fit to the hoop very well. My question would be why raise it?

And there in lies the rub - I suspect everybody's will be slightly different? I had no issues with the width, it just slid straight on and the height of the hoop was dictated by the angle of the rear leg. It just happens that the hoop ended up about 2" above the base.....the only reason to have it that high is that is where it fitted. I also fitted and welded mine pre-body and I have to say that I wouldnt have wanted it any higher as the rear leg is only just below the body shell.
