So today was pedal box day. I got all done and went to do throttle cable. Followed the manual and cut the end off. All was good until I tried to push cable back through. Of course, it would not go back through and started to fray. One wire got pushed back and now don't trust it. So the question is do I get another cable or go with forte mechanical? Does anyone have a cable they are not using I could buy if I go that way?
Thanks.

Every time someone discusses the FFR provided throttle cable, I recommend tossing it and using this cable:

Thanks Dave. That is what I am going with. A lot less than mechanical.

Some things are worth the extra $$. The mechanical throttle linkage is absolutely one of those. I had a cable for 8-9 years and switched to mechanical, and can't believe the difference in throttle control and feel. It feels like your right foot is directly connected to the carb's throttle plate. No more cable flex/slop. I also went through 4-5 cables in that time, they're a total pain. I used Forte's setup and am very happy with it. It helps if you have a thicker firewall so you're concerned with the firewall flexing. I happen to sell them, .090 thick vs stock .040 on ffmetal.com.
