Having a senior moment. When I bought my kit a few years ago, it came with a very simple swivel to connect the accelerator cable to a carburetor. It was, i believe the type where the cable inserts from one end and is held in place by a set screw. It then turns ninety degrees to connect to the carb. What's this part called and where can I get one? Thanks.

It's Called A. "Do-Hickie"
Anyway, is this what you are looking for?

As Steve so wisely recommended to me when I installed the throttle cable, use two set screws (one on each side) of the "do-hickie". The first time I fully pressed the throttle after installing mine, it came loose at the pedal. I promptly replaced the cable with a Lokar cable that is much better and I haven't had an issue since.

Those will work, but it’s nor my car, I need a shorty one, Lokar is too long.

Jorge,
I might have an original shorty Do Hickie.
I'll check in my box of extra parts.

Jorge,
All I have is an extra cable.
Better jump on Jryasko's part.
Sorry I didn't have one to pay forward.

Here is a short do-hickey:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/csi-60015?rrec=true
There are several more on Summit under "Throttle cable end" or "throttle cable stud".
Don't you love it when you know what you need, but can't figure out what to search for?

I've found tons of these in this style, but none that accept the bare cable directly. Most require an additional cable end that threads into the carburetor end like this:

Still looking to see if I can locate one like the FFR kit parts.

Due to the Snipers' tendency to act like an on/off switch with initial throttle application I modded my throttle linkage to the first picture. Kept the old cable end in my spare parts drawer in case the mod didn't work and I wanted to go back. The car drives much better with the mod so, if you want the item in the second picture it yours for the cost of shipping. PM me your ZIP code and I'll send you a shipping quote.

Oooohhhh. I didn't realize that it didn't connect to the cable. What about:

OR

Just when you think it can't be that hard....it is. I had to order an adapter fitting once from an industrial supplier, that I would have thought you could find anywhere.

Where do you get those parts for your mod?

Sorry for the thread drift. The rod ends from amazon, the 1/4 rod from local hardware store, the cable wheel from my left over parts bin from another project and the bracket I made from a piece of 1/4 inch 4 inch angle aluminum.

My BMW motorcycle had a heavier cable than the FFR stock. I gave up on it and went with Mike Forte's solid link system and have never regretted the buy.
Here's a linky to it:

Hey guys, thanks for all the help. I actually found my old one. It was in a box of misc parts and didn't notice it the first two times I looked. Thanks again.
