Back from Loring. First day was to catch up my license, called for a 150 pass. Went up to 160, slowed down and it was like a Sunday afternoon ride. Next day called for a 175 pass with chute deployment. Problem was a 20 mph cross wind. Waited all day for it to calm down and finally made a pass. Went 172 at the mile but was steering to the left (more like just nudging the wheel) and the back felt a little light. Steering a car at 170 is a bit disconcerting. Saturday I added 100 lbs of lead shot behind the seats, went from 9.6 lb. wastegate springs to the electronic boost control, and even with 10-15 mph breeze hitting the back/side at a 45 degree angle I made two more passes. Best of 179 at a mile and a half. Have all winter to address a few things, aerodynamics at the roof/rear end, some more weight attached ahead of the rear axle, looking for a place for about 200 lbs, and some more horsepower. Hoping just boosting up to 15-18 lbs will do the trick. Didn't go 200, but not too disappointed for first time out.
