Hi all,
I think I am finally to the point of putting some wheels on my coupe so I can roll it onto the lift with the body on for winter storage so I can get both cars in the garage in the winter. My wife would appreciate this. I found some 18 inch rims that are intended for a mustang, but should work for this application.

Does anyone see any major problems with them?
Are there any recommended tire sizes that would fill out the rims, not cause headaches? What is the outer tire diameter for a coupe? I want the tire to fit the rim properly and not have the rim wider than the tire. I cannot stand that look, but see it on many cars.

They are Circuit performance 21’s. 18x 9.5 6.04 backspace +20 mm offset for the fronts.
The rears would be 18x11, 6.79 backspace/20 mm offset Out back.
Here they are..just not set on the color yet.

The FF Halibrands in 18 inch follow the following specifications.
18x9 with 6 inch backspace 24 mm offset.
18x11 with 6.46 backspace 12 mm offset.
I think with a 8 mm spacer on the rear I should be good.
Thanks for any feedback.

I have P275/35ZR-18 in the front and P315/30ZR-18 in the rear on my Coupe. On the Factory Five Halibrands. Rim dimensions are similar to what you've shown, so would fit fine I think. I'm using BFGoodrich g-Force Rival S tires, which are 25.6 and 25.5 inch diameter in these sizes.

Most of us are using spacers on the rear for the Coupe. I have Eibach 90.4.25.010.3 Pro-Spacer Wheel Spacer Kit, 25mm (1 inch), 70.50mm diameter, 1/2-20 thread size on mine. Pushes the rear tires out closer to the edge of the body wheel opening, and looks much better. Some even go a bit more. Seems you would need to consider something similar.

Those wheels are pretty cool!
If you're just looking to roll it around, go to the junk yard and get a set of mustang wheels with bald tires for next to nothing. That way you can think about it over the winter, keep money in your pocket and buy some time for more wheel research.

Thanks. I thought about the junk yard idea too, but then I would have to dispose of them when I am done with them. I want width in the rear so I guess a spacer is on the agenda too. The problem is that as soon as you get past a 275 45 18 the options for tires diminish a bunch. Hmm. Choices..

3" backspacing eliminates the spacer on the rear with 11" width
