I like that I can remove the head rests and really like the sub belt pass through.

I too have to agree! Nicely done, Mark! I'm a fan of headrests, as is my neck. I guess I need to look to doing something like that as well.

Thanks for the kind words.

John4337 is the originator of the headrest modification. I just hired someone to do the work that John did himself. He gave me the inspiration a long time ago and I finally got to it.
I even used the same headrest kit from TMI that he used.

We did something similar recently with headrests (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?36838-Headrests-mod). I think best mod we've done!

but I also really like the opening for fifth point in the lower cushion. Is it a plastic "tunnel" in the cushion or just two brackets on both sides? any specs for the brackets? Might want to do something like that as well.

Thanks! I just realized that it's apparently incompatible with seat heaters - obviously I can't make a hole in the heater plate. bummer.

But you can cut them to length, correct? You could have heat up to the passthrough if you come in from the back end of the seat cushion.

Depends on which seat heaters you use. With the Cobraheat seat heaters (at least the waterproof one I bought) I'm pretty you can cut a hole in the heating element. The only areas you can't cut are the areas covered in tape along the edges. I'll have to go dig up those instructions (haven't installed them yet) but I seem to recall reading that when I skimmed the instructions. I was planning to do exactly that when I install them in my seats with sub strap slots.

Yeah, I have Cobraheat waterproof, need to double check the instructions, thanks!

Look at my seats pictured above. Those wires are coming from Cobraheat waterproof seat heaters.

yep, was looking at them yesterday and it hit me! did you cut the heater up to the 5th point opening or did you make a rectangular cut out in the heater?

Edit: OK, I got a confirmation from Mike Meister that it's possible to make an opening inside of the heater pad. Yay! new mini-project!

That's great!
I am taking my seats back to the upholsterer because the head rests feel loose to me and on one of the seats in the picture you can see that the pass through section keeps separating causing the edge to stick up.
Nothing major, but I want them right.

Did you have a chance to install and try the seats? I feel like the fifth point opening might be a bit too far to the back, no?

I sat in the seats (Out of the car) and while it does look like the pass through is too far back, they aren’t. It’ll work out very well.
