Mk1.
Fox body pedal box.
Power brakes front/rear.
Body is off.

I have Wilwood's hydraulic clutch setup in a box.
Wilwood pedal box $ aside, what's the effort/feasibility of a pedal box swap?

I am not sure how different it is under there. But, I replaced my Wilwood pedal box and changed to a hydraulic clutch on a MKIV after the offset quadrant ovalized the holes in the pedal box.

I basically had to assemble the pedal box in the car. Getting the pedals installed with all the spacers, c-clips, etc was.............quite fun. I took the drivers seat out, and spent lots of time upside down with my feet on the roll bar.

But, all in all, I got it done.

Attack it the same way? My car is apart for a refresh. (Sorry for the huge pics. Didn't feel like resizing them)

Keep in mind that the Wilwood box puts everything inside (separate front and rear masters plus a balance bar). You’ll have to redesign and remake the top, both sides and front foot box aluminum as well as make changes to the front bulkhead. You bay find that the Mk1 steering shaft location causes conflict as well.

So Jeff, a piece of cake then.
Hoo boy.

Thank you both for the info. I’ve got the info I need then.
Fox body pedals stay.

Thanks Jeff. Unfortunately I bought a nice new hydraulic clutch setup from Mike Forte that won’t work with my pedal box as is, (clutch pedal designed to pull not push), and the modification to make the clutch pedal push can’t be done because my power brake booster is in the way. Power brakes prevents me from using the Wilwood pedal box anyway as I’ve learned.
I’m likely going back to the tried and true Ford branded clutch cable setup.

I know you know all this Jeff, but this is for those in the future hitting this thread from a search on how to over complicate a simple setup that’s worked for decades.

What’s funny is (to me) I bought the last remaining triple CNC reservoir assembly many months ago and now it sits in its shrink wrap unused. Thinking of displaying it over my fireplace.
(It’s not for sale)

Henry may come up with something which would be awesome but we have a car to reassemble, install a motor and get my body back from paint before Texas.

Oh come on Mark, where's the fun in that? I mean just because it worked for millions of miles in hundreds of thousands of Mustangs doesn't mean that you can't make it better :)

When I changed mine out I had a CNC double and scoured the internet for a triple. I finally found one. They had a few and I posted that here. I think they went pretty quick. I sold my double in minutes.

You should snag a pressure bleeder cap for yours while you can. Just in case you use it some day. Makes bleeding easy.

Good suggestion!
If I recall, I think you were the one that had posted about the triple reservoirs. I called the guy and snatched the last one. Henry at some point after me called but the guy told him the last one was just sold. Not long after that I am at Henry‘s place when the subject of the reservoirs came up when he realized I was the one that snatched the last one.
Right Henry??

Oh yeah, that’s right Mark! It’s in my garage now with a satellite tracker on it! . I have a pressure bleeder cap and we’ll use it when we’re ready!

Thanks,

Henry
