Wanted to see if anybody has a good looking option for a battery box. Am working on my gen 3 Coupe and dont like the tray that came with my kit.
Pics are much appreciated, thx in advance,
Tim

You want something fully enclosed? A Marine battery box is great for that.

Mine I guess is more of a mount or tray that I fabbed. I used the Brielle 21lb battery which is tiny but packs a big punch. I put mine under the trunk floor. Makes for terrible access but it’s concealed. I have it listed somewhere in the table of contents on my build thread. That’s one option is taking something existing and customizing it which is a world better then what they give you. But to fab something you’ve gotta weld.

I've got this mounted in the trunk of my MK-4; however, I had it powdercoated before bolting it down.

Speedway Motors has all sorts of other options too so check them out.

I didn't care for the battery tray that came with the Gen 3 Coupe kit either. Especially since I opted to go with an Odyssey PC925T battery and the provided tray was much too big and didn't mount it cleanly. I got an Artec Industries OY9251 battery mount from Summit (made for the Odyssey PC925) and placed it in the kit front location. Plenty of room there and fit easily. Had it powder coated and happy with how it turned out.

I used this one in a battery relocation project on my Jeep: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/icb-551183?seid=srese1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIz5eE7_bx6wIVhsDACh0QJgWHEAQYAyAB EgKz8PD_BwE

It only works with Optima's, but is nice and slick looking. Especially if you use the battery cover that snaps on top over the terminals.
